Wake up early in the morning, and be ready at 4:30-5:00 AM. Tour guide and car pick you up from your stay in Hanoi Old Quarter.
First, we travel to the famous flower market where hundreds of different kinds of flowers are being sold in bulk to the flower shopkeepers. Moving forward to Ba Dinh Square at 5:30/ 6:00 AM to admire the flag-raising ceremony – a national ritual performed every day in front of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The parade is led by soldiers with the “Determined to Win” military flag and followed by 34 soldiers who reproduce the image of the 34 first cadres and soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Unit of Liberation Army established in 1944. They stop at the base of the flag pole and gradually raise the flag to the top of the 29m high pole.
Next, we will travel back to the Old Quarter and begin to wake up. You will see the street-side market preparing for the morning. We’ll also make our way to Hoan Kiem Lake to witness and even take part in, people, young and old, exercising, doing Tai Chi, aerobics, and jogging. As the sun rises, and the light becomes perfect, take every opportunity to snap some of the best photos of your trip.
Finish the tour with a traditional Hanoi breakfast of Pho and egg coffee, and back to your hotel around 8 AM.
