Bac Ninh– Just over 20 km away from Hanoi, Bac Ninh, the province’s name means “northern serenity” of stunning sceneries of the real Vietnam countryside with warm-hearted people, and authentic food.

The province is rich in culture and is known nationally for Quan họ folk music and Dong Ho folk Painting which were recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritages by UNESCO. The home for our very first primitive ancestor of Vietnam back in 2879 BC, the long last and most powerful Ly dynasty at Do Temple, with 9 honored kings who were the founders of Thang Long-Hanoi Capital in 1010, traditional craft villages, and numerous ancient pagodas and temples. All will offer you a trip of a lifetime!

Itinerary

(Note: If you love leisure and relaxation, do the E-Scooter tours so that you still see all the amazing things! But Biking is a great soft adventure for you to enjoy the most tranquil countryside landscape of Bac Ninh!)

At 8 AM you are welcomed at your hotel and take around an hour’s transfer by support vehicle out of the city to Bac Ninh

8:30-8:45

Stop at the bank of Duong River, get dressed up with biking equipment and a camera to be ready for a bike ride offers you views of fertile riverside farms and the daily life of the village’s rustic dotting green bamboo tree lines and fields of rice, flowers, and vegetables…

Give your hands to the farmers, if you like to help, try to be a real farmer to join them to plow the soil or seeding vegetables…and take a picture to save the memorable experience. Wave your hands to the farmers; keep cycling along the farm then stop to visit a local temple for a great view.

Enjoy the breath-breaking peaceful scenery of the countryside of the riverside, we stop to take pictures of river views then visit one of the oldest pagodas- But Thap, and understand more about Vietnamese Buddhism dating back to the 13th century. Admire the impressionistic Buddhist statue with a thousand arms and thousand eyes, meet friendly locals, take pictures of water buffaloes…

10:45-11:00

Cycling further through the Rice Field to Dau Fu Village where you learn about how to make Dau Phu from Soybean, really interesting manual labor to make Yummy Dau Phu for Vegetarian, is highly recommended by the local people to taste traditional  Vietnamese food.

Stop by the Kumquat garden, where thousands of kumquat trees are growing and breathing fresh air in the peaceful countryside for the Lunar New Year tradition.

11:45-12:00

We proceed to the dyke to visit the Ancestral Mausoleum Kinh Duong Vuong –the primitive Ancestor founder of Vietnam, Dragon, and Fairy, from 2792  BC located on the bank of the River, wander around, and sightseeing, you can see many giant old trees.

12:30-13:00

We have yummy lunch with a local family in typical traditional wooden houses made from bricks with Tile roofs, you can try to cook if you want, fresh Rolls with fun.

Relax and walk around the village to visit how local people use colored papers to make artwork like Money, houses, shoes, and horses …to do ancestor worshipping on the anniversary days, so unique!

14:00-14:30

Next, we’re cycling to Dong Ho Folk painting-UNESCO Intangible World Heritage, You love painting, and you have a chance to be an artist to draw your pictures!

Here is a unique Folk Painting that used Gio Papers from nature to be printed on Wood blocks with special inks from natural leaves, and shells …the pictures tell you about local life, festival, and animals, especially the Rat wedding ones …grab your picture!

16:30-17:00

Wandering more around to enjoy the peaceful scenery of the countryside, we visit the old Northern Style -Wooden House of Local Family where you will see the real life and typical architecture and traditional Ancestor Worship then we drive back to Hanoi. Or if you like to have a peaceful overnight at the Village, do the homestay with the local family that would be an amazing real-life local experience.

  • 50% discount for child under 5 years accompanied by 2 full paying clients, staying in the same room with parents
  • 75% charged for child from 6 -10 years accompanied by 2 full paying clients, staying on extra bed
  • The above children rates are applicable for bookings made with 2 adults and a maximum of 2 children occupancy in a room.
  • Child aged 11 years up is subject to the adult rate

Surcharge policy:

A surcharge will be applied to travel on the national holiday of the Chinese new year, 10th March, 30th April, 1st May, from 1st to 4th Sep, Christmas, 31st Dec, 1st and 2nd, January.

Booking & Payment
  • A deposit of 30% of the total invoice is required in order to confirm all our services.
  • Balance of payment is due earlier than 45 days prior to your departure.
  • Following full payment, final voucher of services and related documents will be forwarded by e-mail or fax to clients at a maximum of two weeks prior to your home departure.

Cancellations will be charged as follows:

  • Free cancellation up to 14 days before the experience date
  • No refunds within 14 days of the experience date.
